The opportunity

We're looking for a visionary leader to join us as VP of Business & Technology Strategy, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. In this high-impact role, you'll drive the strategic direction of our global organization, working closely with senior leaders across Commercial Strategy, Technology Solutions, and the Executive Leadership Team. Your mission: to build a forward-looking, financially sound, and people-focused function that delivers long-term value.

This is more than just strategy, it's about inspiring change. You'll need to be a strong facilitator, able to unite cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. With a sharp commercial mindset and the courage to challenge convention, you'll identify and deliver game-changing initiatives, all while fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.

This great role can be based from either the US or UK! 

Role responsibilities

How will you make an impact at Envision Pharma Group?

  • Develop and deliver strategic plans for our technology offerings, aligned with an ambitious 5-year growth vision.
  • Drive innovation across the business by identifying and accelerating solutions that address key client challenges, particularly within Medical Affairs.
  • Collaborate as a core member of the Technology Senior Leadership Team, contributing to both commercial and company-wide initiatives.
  • Lead day-to-day operations, setting clear performance goals and working cross-functionally across business pillars, BD, and marketing.
  • Partner with Global Business Development to pursue growth opportunities and meet financial and revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, including decision-makers and industry influencers.
  • Ensure operational compliance with internal processes and client SOPs while supporting long-term client partnerships.
  • Champion the integration of data, analytics, and AI into our regulatory affairs platform.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategy, product development, and go-to-market plans.
  • Own full P&L responsibility for the technology business, using performance data and market insights to report regularly to senior leadership.
  • Oversee resourcing and SME support for demos, RFIs, and RFPs to support business development efforts.

Do you have what we are looking for?

Skills & expertise

  • 15+ years of experience in commercial technology, ideally within the life sciences or pharmaceutical sectors, including global operations and SaaS product delivery.
  • Proven success in leading and implementing innovative, agile technology solutions across diverse geographies and cultures.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a history of driving revenue growth and achieving strategic business goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership in change management—able to motivate, engage, and retain high-performing teams in matrixed environments.
  • Deep experience in developing and executing business and strategic plans, including launching products into the life sciences market.
  • Skilled in forming and managing strategic partnerships to expand product offerings and support go-to-market strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and nurture client relationships.
  • Extensive experience managing large, global teams across multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
  • Proven ability to oversee budgets and deliver accurate financial reporting, including forecasting and target management.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; highly organized with a collaborative and solution-focused approach.
  • Adept at working cross-functionally with engineering, customer success, commercial teams, and clients to drive product delivery and performance.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally as needed.
  • Familiarity with integrating data, analytics, and AI within technology solutions for the life sciences industry.

Salary range (for US roles only) - $158,556 - $206,122

The provided salary range reflects the potential base salary for this role in the United States, considering factors such as your professional and academic experience, training, and role responsibilities. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer an attractive total compensation benefits package designed to reward and support our people.
