The opportunity:

We are seeking an accomplished VP of Specialty Commercialization to lead the strategic direction and execution of commercialization efforts for our specialty products and services. In this high-impact role, you will develop and implement innovative marketing strategies, identify key target markets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and increase market share.

As the VP, you will also play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, industry partners, and influencers, ensuring successful market penetration and long-term business success. Role responsibilities

How will you make an impact?

  • Define client requirements and identify potential partners based on current vendors.
  • Review proposals and assist client with determining operational capabilities, key differentiators, strengths, weaknesses and overall market.
  • Provide market information to assist with agreement negotiations.
  • Identify additional company products or services that may be needed or provide value to the client.
  • Partner with internal resources to manage the client engagement.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the Emerging Specialty Product Market (i.e., cell & gene, rare and orphan disease states).
  • Coordinate client meetings including proposals and presentation materials.
  • Work with internal teams to develop and negotiate contracts based on defined requirements.
  • Identify cross selling opportunities across the organization.
  • Monitor the specialty pharmaceutical pipeline of warm leads, making contact and following up as needed.

 

Do you have what we're looking for?

Skills & Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably with specialty pharmacy and distribution experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of business development experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Rare and Orphan disease states with an emphasis on Specialty Pharmacy & Specialty Distribution
