The opportunity 

The Technical Support Specialist I provides basic technical support for proprietary software products. Technical Support Specialist I follows documentation, completes SQL scripts using templates, understands basic configuration of proprietary software, interprets log information and analyses UI data within the database.

This role is designed as the entry point into the Technology division, with the goal of developing staff into higher level roles. This role works under close supervision.

Role responsibilities 

  • Provide basic technical support and guidance for users, responding to questions and concerns, troubleshooting common issues, and escalating tickets as needed.
  • Assist in the development, testing, and delivery of technical solutions for internally and externally identified issues.
  • Coordinate support with internal teams to ensure all requests are handled in order of severity.
  • Document all solutions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Utilize standard procedure documentation, technical guides, and training materials
  • Use of source code control systems (Subversion/Git)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Do you have what we are looking for? 

Skills & expertise 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required and Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience providing technical customer service preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience using Basic SQL (Selects and Joins) preferred, ability to demonstrate competency in basic SQL (using selects & joins, understanding foreign keys etc.) required.
  • Experience working in a ticketing system and prioritizing tickets is highly preferred. 

The provided hourly range reflects the potential base hourly rate for this role in the United States, considering factors such as your professional and academic experience, training, and role responsibilities. In addition to a competitive base hourly rate, we offer an attractive total compensation benefits package designed to reward and support our people.
