The opportunity

As part of the Envision Customer Delivery QA team, this role is responsible for creating and executing test strategies/test plans/ test cases to ensure that the client's customizations and configurations are not impacted when upgrading to new versions of the software or implementing new customizations and configurations.

Role responsibilities

  • Review upgrade documentation (new release, new customizations) and identify the scope of the test effort.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. R&D QA and product managers) to identify new release enhancements and identify the testing already executed.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate and plan testing activities – including time and resource needs.
  • Identify manual test cases that are automation candidates.
  • Identify, record, document and thoroughly track bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Communicate risks as they arise – blocking issues, quality issues, or resource issues -that could impact project timelines.
  • Track quality assurance metrics to include both pre and post release bug counts.

Do you have what we are looking for?

Skills & expertise

  • 3+ years of experience in manual testing of software applications including “happy path” tests as well as negative/compatibility/configuration tests.
  • 3+ years of experience in test plan/test case creation, defect tracking, and metrics reporting using Jira.
  • 2+ years of experience testing in an Agile environment.
  • Experience using a test case management tool such as TestRail, Zephyr or TFS/Azure DevOps for creating and executing test cases.
  • Experience using SQL to write queries to test data migrations and extracts.
  • 1+ years of experience with other non-functional testing methods such as load/performance testing and API testing preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or other technical field, 4 to 8 years of experience in lieu of degree.
