The opportunity

We are looking for a Head of Engineering for our OKRA.ai business vertical! In this pivotal role you lead our talented engineers to develop groundbreaking solutions. You will be responsible for driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution to ensure the successful delivery of AI projects that align with our company's objectives.

Leading our two engineering teams working on our Data and SaaS platforms, you will have a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for innovation.

We are welcoming applicants that can be based on a hybrid working pattern from our offices in the Netherlands, UK, Serbia, Hungary, and Portugal for this exciting opportunity!

Role responsibilities

How will you make an impact at Envision Pharma Group?

• As a key member of OKRA.ai's leadership team, you will be responsible for making strategic decisions on the development of our technology stack, as well as operations.
• Collaborate with other Envision Pharma Group departments, such as Technology to develop shared data strategies and solutions.
• Build and develop lasting and strong relationships with clients and service providers.
• Provide guidance and direction to develop our operations teams.
• Steer activities related to front-end, back-end, data processing, data lake and cloud infrastructure development.
• Develop and drive adoption of policies and procedures and use technology to enhance products and service, both for customer satisfaction and compliance.
• Implement best practices and guidelines to continually improve performance, scalability, and security, and to minimise current and future technical debt.

Do you have what we are looking for?

Skills & expertise

• In-depth demonstrable experience in managing international and distributed engineering teams (as a Head of Engineering; or CTO in a technology company).
• Ability to engage with leaders at the senior-most levels on strategic and operational matters.
• Experience with the successful integration of a smaller team into a bigger organisation.
• Successful experience with integrating disparate systems into one cohesive and scalable enterprise architecture.
• Previous experience in building SaaS solutions for B2B.
• Expertise in web-based solutions on one or more public cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with the current big data technologies such as data warehouses, data lakes, and data processing pipelines.
• Life Sciences industry experience or with a demonstrated understanding and passion for the life sciences.
