Data Test Engineer

The opportunity

As a Data Test Engineer, you will be responsible for validating data sources, extracting data applications of transformation logic and uploading data in target tables. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and troubleshooting the client's data storage system before it goes live. You must have strong technical capabilities and good knowledge of the coding languages commonly used in ETL development, such as Python, SQL and XML and Data warehousing Concepts. You should have a knowledge on Troubleshooting for bugs and errors and finding solutions of ETL Development. Familiarity with data warehouse architecture techniques like ODS, DM, EDW, M, and ROLAP is also needed. 

**This role is open to those who reside in Portugal, Hungary or Serbia**

Role responsibilities

• Write complex SQL queries for data validation and regression testing.
• Create comprehensive test plans that evaluate the testability of requirements and support business and technological solutions.
• Participate in multiple test phases on medium to large projects.
• Apply information governance principles to testing efforts.
• Create test data utilizing data warehouse and data mart.
• Review BRDs/SRDs to create test cases.
• Transform complex Business logic into SQL queries.
• Run, and read from, debug batch processes.

Do you have what we are looking for?

Skills & expertise

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3+ Years of Software Quality Assurance experience on enterprise level applications which includes Data Warehouse Testing.
• QA Automation Test tools expertise in Selenium, Cypress, Test Ng, Cucumber, Appium, etc.,
• Extensive exposure to ETL testing with high-level of SQL skills is required.
• Should have exposure to large data sets and understand Data Quality Framework.
• Experience in data analysis, including profiling, auditing, balancing, and reconciliation, in an Information technology operating environment.
• Defect tracking experience (i.e. Jira, Bugzilla, etc).
