The opportunity 

We are seeking an experienced Client Services Director to join our Life Sciences Commercialization business.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic client partnerships, delivering exceptional client outcomes, and supporting continued business growth across a portfolio of pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

As a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, you will lead complex commercialization engagements spanning market access, distribution, specialty pharmacy, patient services, channel strategy, and commercialization planning. You will be accountable for ensuring client success, identifying opportunities to expand partnerships, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions.

This role requires a unique combination of commercial acumen, strategic thinking, relationship leadership, and operational excellence. You will work closely with clients to solve complex business challenges while partnering internally across consulting, market access, patient services, specialty pharmacy, and commercialization teams to deliver measurable results.

Role responsibilities 

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech clients, serving as a trusted strategic advisor.
  • Lead a portfolio of client engagements, ensuring delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and achievement of business objectives.
  • Partner with clients to develop and execute commercialization strategies, including channel optimisation, specialty pharmacy, distribution, patient support, and market access initiatives.
  • Identify and drive account growth opportunities, supporting revenue expansion and long-term partnership development.
  • Lead and mentor high-performing client services teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts to deliver integrated solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Support business development activities, including proposal development, client presentations, and new business pursuits.
  • Guide clients through complex operational and strategic decisions, including vendor evaluation, distribution strategy, and implementation planning.
  • Ensure programme delivery aligns with client objectives, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, healthcare policy changes, and evolving commercialization models.

Do you have what we are looking for? 

Skills & expertise 

  • Significant experience in a senior client services, consulting, account leadership, commercialization, market access, or patient services role within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and grow strategic client relationships at senior and executive levels.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, including specialty pharmacy, distribution, patient support services, channel strategy, and market access.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-stakeholder client engagements and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience identifying and driving commercial growth opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Strong leadership experience with a track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance client needs, operational execution, and commercial objectives.
  • Strong project and programme management capabilities across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional client experiences and improving patient access to therapies.
